Questions and Answers

The things buyers ask us most before they order

Is this really usable as a chair?

That is the design intent. In seating mode it has the look of fine furniture, with a removable angle-adjustable pad carrying more padding than a working-mode surface. Peak describes it as more comfortable and accommodating than any other competitive chair on the market.

How does it convert?

The chair turns over between sitting and working modes. The seat and backrest pad is removable and folds away for storage while the chair is in working mode, and the springs have a dedicated storage position for the changeover.

Does it still use bed springs?

No. The original converted apartment chair used two bed springs; the modern design has moved on from those while keeping the function, purpose and working geometry of the original.

What is it made of?

Furniture-grade Baltic Birch throughout, with all external visible hardware hidden. The edges are left exposed deliberately to show the ply construction.

How easy is it to move?

A handle cutout in the backrest was added specifically to make the chair easy to lift and reposition, and at 21.25" wide it clears any standard doorway.

How many springs does it come with?

Peak does not publish a spring count for the current Artistry Wunda Chair. Contact us before ordering and we will confirm the supplied spring set with the manufacturer.
