The tower package sized for BASI's compact frames. It adds the push-through bar and the roll down bar to a Compact Reformer you already own, without asking for another inch of floor.
That is the argument for it. A compact reformer was bought because the room is small, and a standalone tower or wall unit would undo that decision. This upgrade rises from the reformer's own footprint instead.
Fitting uses the mounting points built into the compact frame. Order the standard Tower Only package instead if your reformer is a full-size BASI frame, as the two are not interchangeable.
What's Included:
- Compact tower frame with mounting hardware
- Push-through bar
- Roll down bar
- Tower spring set
- Installation documentation
Features
Sized for the compact frame
Built for the 81.5 in Compact Reformer rather than adapted from the studio tower. The mounting points line up because they were designed to.

Push-through and roll down bar
The two core tower exercises, added to a machine that previously could not do either.
No additional footprint
The tower occupies vertical space above the reformer, so the floor plan does not change. That is the whole reason to choose this over a wall tower.
Aluminium spring track
Spring holders travel on aircraft-grade aluminium, giving continuous placement rather than a handful of fixed positions.
Installation
It arrives part-built
BASI crates its apparatus partly assembled. The frame comes as a unit and you fit the components that ship loose, typically the footbar, ropes, pulleys, spring holders and any tower or trapeze structure supplied with your configuration. Standard hand tools cover it and the fixings are in the box.
Two people, and time
Budget two to four hours for the larger frames and one to three for a plain reformer, with two people throughout. Weight rather than complexity is the reason. These frames run from roughly 150 lb to 330 lb and none of them should be carried alone.
Measure the route, not just the room
Freight arrives kerbside. Before delivery day, check the doorway widths, any turn at the top of a stairwell, and the ceiling height against the tower or trapeze figure in the specification table. Reversing a delivery costs far more than a tape measure.
Bed the machine in before you load it
Once assembled, run the carriage end to end several times to seat the wheels, confirm both ropes are the same length, and check that the footbar and spring holders lock positively in every position before working at full spring load.

Warranty, Shipping and Returns
BASI Systems publishes a tiered limited warranty that runs from the invoice date and covers the original purchaser only. Main wooden frames and structural wood components are covered for ten years. Steel and aluminium profiles, F2 components, springs, plastic parts and fasteners are covered for two years. Elastomer-coated parts, which means the footbar, hand bar, pedals, stoppers, handles and wheels, are covered for one year. The Pilates mat, upholstery and fabric accessories are covered for ninety days.
One condition is easy to miss and worth putting in your calendar. On spring-loaded apparatus BASI requires springs to be replaced every two years or every 3,000 hours of use, whichever arrives first, and skipping that can void the cover.
Shipping is free on orders within the United States. Large apparatus travels by freight truck and the carrier telephones ahead to agree a delivery window. Delivery is kerbside, so plan for two people and a clear route from the truck to the room. Smaller parts and accessories travel by parcel carrier, normally arriving within 7 to 10 business days once dispatched.
Inspect the crate before you sign. Any damage or missing box has to be written on the Proof of Delivery at the time of delivery, and the claim has to be raised within five business days, otherwise BASI will not accept liability. Photograph anything that looks wrong.
You have 30 days from delivery to return unused equipment in its original packaging, with no restocking fee. Refunds are issued within 7 business days of the return reaching us. Orders can be cancelled at no cost up to the point the apparatus leaves the factory.
About BASI Systems
BASI Systems manufactures the apparatus used by BASI Pilates, the teacher training organisation Rael Isacowitz founded. Because the equipment and the curriculum are developed together, the range shares one upgrade path rather than a set of dead ends. The F2 spring system ports are prepared from new on reformers, chairs, barrels, Cadillacs and spine correctors alike.
Materials do not change between price points. Beech hardwood frames, aircraft-grade aluminium for anything that slides or carries load, orthopaedic padding beneath anti-slip antibacterial vinyl. Patent US 10,393,163 B2 covers the spring positioning system, and the Wunda Chair holds an A Design Award.
