BASI lists this apparatus as the Trapeze Table. Most studios call it the Cadillac, and it is the centrepiece of a BASI floor: the widest mat table in the range, twelve springs in six weights and a trapeze that stands 87.2 in with the tall extension legs fitted.
Spring holders travel along aircraft-grade aluminium track, so placement is continuous rather than a choice between fixed holes. The push-through bar and the trapeze swing are wrapped in padded easy-grip covering, the mat is orthopaedic padding under non-slip antibacterial vinyl, and silicone wheels let you reposition the table without dragging it across a floor.
Height is the thing to check first. At 87.2 in with the tall legs, this is the tallest apparatus BASI makes. Short and medium extension leg sets exist precisely so studios with low ceilings can drop the working height.

Features
The widest mat table BASI builds
27.5 in wide and 95.3 in long on the frame, which changes what side-lying and rotational work feels like compared with a narrower table.

Continuous spring placement
Holders slide along aluminium track rather than dropping into holes, so spring angle and height are set to the exercise instead of being approximated.

Twelve springs, six weights
Two each of yellow, long yellow, blue, red, black and purple, with 20 carabiners. The long yellows are the ones that make push-through bar work possible across a range of bodies.

Three working heights
Tall legs ship with the table. Short and medium sets are available, which is how a studio fits a Cadillac under an eight foot ceiling.

Padded grip on the bars
Easy-grip covering on the push-through bar and the trapeze swing, which matters for hanging work where the hands take load for long holds.

Four prepared F2 ports
The F2 spring system fits the table's existing ports, adding spring angles the standard holders cannot reach.

Installation
It arrives part-built
BASI crates its apparatus partly assembled. The frame comes as a unit and you fit the components that ship loose, typically the footbar, ropes, pulleys, spring holders and any tower or trapeze structure supplied with your configuration. Standard hand tools cover it and the fixings are in the box.
Two people, and time
Budget two to four hours for the larger frames and one to three for a plain reformer, with two people throughout. Weight rather than complexity is the reason. These frames run from roughly 150 lb to 330 lb and none of them should be carried alone.
Measure the route, not just the room
Freight arrives kerbside. Before delivery day, check the doorway widths, any turn at the top of a stairwell, and the ceiling height against the tower or trapeze figure in the specification table. Reversing a delivery costs far more than a tape measure.
Bed the machine in before you load it
Once assembled, run the carriage end to end several times to seat the wheels, confirm both ropes are the same length, and check that the footbar and spring holders lock positively in every position before working at full spring load.
Resources
Warranty, Shipping and Returns
BASI grades its limited warranty by what the part is made of. Structural wood and the main frame: ten years. Steel and aluminium profiles and components, F2 systems, springs, plastic components and fasteners: two years. Elastomer-coated parts, which covers the footbar, hand bar, pedals, stoppers, handles and wheels: one year. The Pilates mat, upholstery and fabric accessories: ninety days. Cover begins at the invoice date and belongs to the original retail purchaser.
Springs come with an obligation attached. BASI requires replacement every two years or every 3,000 hours of use, whichever is reached sooner, on any spring-loaded apparatus.
There is no shipping charge within the United States. Crated goods move by freight with a phone call ahead to agree the slot. The driver unloads kerbside, so plan two people and check the doorways and any staircase turn beforehand. Smaller items go parcel, usually landing within 7 to 10 business days of dispatch.
Inspect before signing. Damage, or a box that has not arrived, must be written on the Proof of Delivery on the day and claimed within five business days.
Returns run for 30 days from delivery on unused equipment in its original packaging. No restocking fee, refunds within 7 business days of the return arriving and free cancellation while the order is still at the factory.
About BASI Systems
BASI Systems is the equipment line built around BASI Pilates, the teacher training body founded by Rael Isacowitz. The apparatus is designed alongside the curriculum rather than sold to fit it, which shows in details such as the four prepared F2 ports that appear across the range and let one spring system move between reformer, chair, barrel and Cadillac.
Frames are solid beech. Tracks and moving hardware are aircraft-grade aluminium. Contact surfaces use orthopaedic padding under anti-slip, antibacterial vinyl. The Wunda Chair has taken an A Design Award, and the spring positioning system is covered by US patent 10,393,163 B2.
