The Compact Plus is BASI's newest reformer line, and this is the version with the tower fitted. It sits between the Compact Reformer with Tower and the full-size studio frame, which is the gap most buyers actually land in: more machine than the compact, less room needed than the studio model.
Because the line is new, BASI has not yet published a full dimensional sheet for it. What is confirmed is the shape of the offer. It is a beech-framed reformer with tower, push-through and roll down bar work, the eight colour upholstery range and the same prepared F2 ports found across the catalogue.
If you need published dimensions before you commit, ask us and we will get the current factory sheet. If you want a frame with numbers already in print, the Compact Reformer with Tower and the full Reformer with Tower are both documented in detail.
What's Included:
- Compact Plus reformer frame with carriage and foot platform
- Tower with push-through bar and roll down bar
- Reformer and tower spring set
- Handles, ropes, pulleys, straps and carabiners
- Exact inclusion list confirmed at order, as BASI is still finalising documentation for this new line
Features
The newest frame in the range
BASI introduced the Compact Plus as an addition to the compact line rather than a replacement for it. It is the option for buyers who found the Compact Reformer slightly short and the studio Reformer slightly long.

Tower work included
Push-through bar and roll down bar come with the frame, which means spinal articulation and loaded upper body work without a second apparatus or a wall fixing.
Prepared F2 ports
As everywhere else in the BASI range, the F2 spring system fits ports the frame already has. It is a later purchase, not a later rebuild.
Eight upholstery colours
Anthracite Grey is the standard and ships fastest. The other seven are custom production runs, priced the same as each other and slightly above grey.
Beech and aluminium, unchanged
The Compact Plus uses the same material set as the rest of the catalogue: solid beech frame, aircraft-grade aluminium track, orthopaedic padding under antibacterial vinyl.
Installation
Part-built in the crate
The frame arrives as one assembly and the loose components go on afterwards: footbar, ropes, pulleys, spring holders and the tower or trapeze structure if your configuration includes one. Ordinary hand tools, and the fixings are packed with it.
Allow the time and the second person
Two to four hours on the larger frames, one to three on a plain reformer, two people throughout. These frames weigh between roughly 150 lb and 330 lb, which is the reason rather than the difficulty of the job.
The route matters more than the room
Delivery is kerbside. Check door widths, the turn at the head of any staircase and your ceiling against the tower or trapeze height in the specification table, before the truck arrives rather than after.
Commission it before you load it
Run the carriage from end to end a few times so the wheels seat, measure both ropes against each other, and confirm the footbar and spring holders lock in every position before you work at full spring load.

Resources
Warranty, Shipping and Returns
Warranty terms come from BASI Systems and are graded by component. The structural woodwork and main frame carry ten years. Metal profiles and components, F2 parts, springs, plastic components and fasteners carry two years. Elastomer-coated parts such as the footbar, hand bar, pedals, stoppers, handles and wheels carry one year. Mats, upholstered surfaces and fabric accessories carry ninety days. The clock starts at the invoice date and the cover follows the original purchaser rather than the apparatus.
There is also a spring replacement requirement. On spring-loaded apparatus, springs are to be changed every two years or at 3,000 hours of use, whichever is reached first.
United States orders ship free. Crated apparatus goes on a freight truck with a phone call ahead to arrange the window, and the driver unloads at the kerb rather than carrying it in, so arrange help and check your access route in advance. Parcel-sized items generally arrive 7 to 10 business days after dispatch.
Do the inspection before you sign the Proof of Delivery. Anything damaged or missing has to be written on that document at delivery and claimed within five business days for the manufacturer to accept liability.
Returns are accepted for 30 days from delivery on unused equipment in its original packaging, with no restocking fee and refunds processed within 7 business days. Cancelling before the apparatus leaves the factory costs nothing.
About BASI Systems
The range is made by BASI Systems for BASI Pilates, founded by Rael Isacowitz, and the apparatus is designed against the repertoire it teaches rather than the other way round. That shows up in the upgrade paths: four prepared F2 ports on most of the catalogue, tower and trapeze conversions on the reformer frames, three extension leg heights shared across five apparatus.
Build is consistent throughout. Solid beech, aircraft-grade aluminium track and hardware, orthopaedic cushioning under antibacterial vinyl. The Wunda Chair holds an A Design Award and the spring positioning system is patented.
