One frame, four apparatus. The Reformer Combo is the machine BASI builds when a studio needs the whole repertoire but cannot give the trapeze work a floor of its own. It runs as a reformer, as a reformer with tower, as a raised mat and as a full Cadillac with the trapeze fitted.
The carriage rides on aircraft-grade aluminium track, the orthopaedic cushion runs the full width of the frame, and the Enhanced Pulley System places the pulleys anywhere along the height and the width of the tower rather than at fixed stops. Each of the five reformer springs works through three gear positions, which moves resistance in small steps instead of jumps.
Worth knowing before you commit: the trapeze on this frame stands 76.7 in, lower than the 87.2 in of the dedicated Trapeze Table. If you will never teach the trapeze repertoire, the Reformer with Tower covers everything else for less money.

Features
Four apparatus on one footprint
Reformer, reformer with tower, raised mat and Cadillac, switched between on the same frame. A studio buying this instead of two machines recovers floor space it can sell.

Enhanced Pulley System
Pulleys set anywhere along both the height and the width of the tower frame, so rope angle is matched to the body in front of you rather than to the nearest fixed hole.

Three gear positions per spring
Each of the five reformer springs steps through three gear settings on the gear bar, adding roughly 3 to 4 percent resistance per step. That is the difference between progressing a client and jumping them.

Full-width orthopaedic cushion
The padded carriage runs the whole width of the frame at 27.5 in, under anti-slip antibacterial vinyl that takes a wipe down between clients.

Twelve trapeze springs in six weights
Two each of yellow, long yellow, blue, red, black and purple, with 20 carabiners, so the Cadillac side is loaded for the full range from rehabilitation to advanced work without a second order.

Four prepared F2 ports
The F2 System drops into ports the frame already has. Buy the spring system in a year or in five and the machine takes it without modification.

Installation
It arrives part-built
BASI crates its apparatus partly assembled. The frame comes as a unit and you fit the components that ship loose, typically the footbar, ropes, pulleys, spring holders and any tower or trapeze structure supplied with your configuration. Standard hand tools cover it and the fixings are in the box.
Two people, and time
Budget two to four hours for the larger frames and one to three for a plain reformer, with two people throughout. Weight rather than complexity is the reason. These frames run from roughly 150 lb to 330 lb and none of them should be carried alone.
Measure the route, not just the room
Freight arrives kerbside. Before delivery day, check the doorway widths, any turn at the top of a stairwell, and the ceiling height against the tower or trapeze figure in the specification table. Reversing a delivery costs far more than a tape measure.
Bed the machine in before you load it
Once assembled, run the carriage end to end several times to seat the wheels, confirm both ropes are the same length, and check that the footbar and spring holders lock positively in every position before working at full spring load.
Resources
Warranty, Shipping and Returns
BASI Systems publishes a tiered limited warranty that runs from the invoice date and covers the original purchaser only. Main wooden frames and structural wood components are covered for ten years. Steel and aluminium profiles, F2 components, springs, plastic parts and fasteners are covered for two years. Elastomer-coated parts, which means the footbar, hand bar, pedals, stoppers, handles and wheels, are covered for one year. The Pilates mat, upholstery and fabric accessories are covered for ninety days.
One condition is easy to miss and worth putting in your calendar. On spring-loaded apparatus BASI requires springs to be replaced every two years or every 3,000 hours of use, whichever arrives first, and skipping that can void the cover.
Shipping is free on orders within the United States. Large apparatus travels by freight truck and the carrier telephones ahead to agree a delivery window. Delivery is kerbside, so plan for two people and a clear route from the truck to the room. Smaller parts and accessories travel by parcel carrier, normally arriving within 7 to 10 business days once dispatched.
Inspect the crate before you sign. Any damage or missing box has to be written on the Proof of Delivery at the time of delivery, and the claim has to be raised within five business days, otherwise BASI will not accept liability. Photograph anything that looks wrong.
You have 30 days from delivery to return unused equipment in its original packaging, with no restocking fee. Refunds are issued within 7 business days of the return reaching us. Orders can be cancelled at no cost up to the point the apparatus leaves the factory.
About BASI Systems
BASI Systems manufactures the apparatus used by BASI Pilates, the teacher training organisation Rael Isacowitz founded. Because the equipment and the curriculum are developed together, the range shares one upgrade path rather than a set of dead ends. The F2 spring system ports are prepared from new on reformers, chairs, barrels, Cadillacs and spine correctors alike.
Materials do not change between price points. Beech hardwood frames, aircraft-grade aluminium for anything that slides or carries load, orthopaedic padding beneath anti-slip antibacterial vinyl. Patent US 10,393,163 B2 covers the spring positioning system, and the Wunda Chair holds an A Design Award.
