A full-length padded mat platform on a beech frame, 97 in long and 27.6 in wide, with easy-grip padded handles along the sides. It brings mat programming up off the floor, which changes what is possible for clients who cannot get down to the floor and back up again.
Working height is set by the extension leg set fitted to it. The short set is supplied, and heights of 6.3 in, 11 in, 14 in and 21.5 in are achievable across the leg options, so the platform can be matched to a teaching position or to a transfer height.
Spring holders travel on aircraft-quality aluminium track and push-through bar technology is supported, so the mat is a base a tower can be built onto rather than a padded bench.

Features
Mat work at a chosen height
Extension legs put the surface between 6.3 in and 21.5 in off the floor. For a client who struggles to get down to a mat and back up, that is the difference between doing the work and not.

Easy-grip padded handles
Along the sides, where hands actually land. They give a client something secure to hold in rolling and transition work.

Continuous cushion on beech
Orthopaedic padding under antibacterial vinyl, on a solid beech frame. It is a studio surface, not a gym bench.

Takes spring holders on aluminium track
Spring angle and position adjust along the frame, so the mat supports loaded work rather than bodyweight work alone.

Pairs with the extension leg sets
Short, medium and tall sets are sold separately, and the same sets fit the reformers and the Cadillac, so a studio can standardise working heights across the floor.

Installation
Part-built in the crate
The frame arrives as one assembly and the loose components go on afterwards: footbar, ropes, pulleys, spring holders and the tower or trapeze structure if your configuration includes one. Ordinary hand tools, and the fixings are packed with it.
Allow the time and the second person
Two to four hours on the larger frames, one to three on a plain reformer, two people throughout. These frames weigh between roughly 150 lb and 330 lb, which is the reason rather than the difficulty of the job.
The route matters more than the room
Delivery is kerbside. Check door widths, the turn at the head of any staircase and your ceiling against the tower or trapeze height in the specification table, before the truck arrives rather than after.
Commission it before you load it
Run the carriage from end to end a few times so the wheels seat, measure both ropes against each other, and confirm the footbar and spring holders lock in every position before you work at full spring load.
Resources
Warranty, Shipping and Returns
Warranty terms come from BASI Systems and are graded by component. The structural woodwork and main frame carry ten years. Metal profiles and components, F2 parts, springs, plastic components and fasteners carry two years. Elastomer-coated parts such as the footbar, hand bar, pedals, stoppers, handles and wheels carry one year. Mats, upholstered surfaces and fabric accessories carry ninety days. The clock starts at the invoice date and the cover follows the original purchaser rather than the apparatus.
There is also a spring replacement requirement. On spring-loaded apparatus, springs are to be changed every two years or at 3,000 hours of use, whichever is reached first.
United States orders ship free. Crated apparatus goes on a freight truck with a phone call ahead to arrange the window, and the driver unloads at the kerb rather than carrying it in, so arrange help and check your access route in advance. Parcel-sized items generally arrive 7 to 10 business days after dispatch.
Do the inspection before you sign the Proof of Delivery. Anything damaged or missing has to be written on that document at delivery and claimed within five business days for the manufacturer to accept liability.
Returns are accepted for 30 days from delivery on unused equipment in its original packaging, with no restocking fee and refunds processed within 7 business days. Cancelling before the apparatus leaves the factory costs nothing.
About BASI Systems
The range is made by BASI Systems for BASI Pilates, founded by Rael Isacowitz, and the apparatus is designed against the repertoire it teaches rather than the other way round. That shows up in the upgrade paths: four prepared F2 ports on most of the catalogue, tower and trapeze conversions on the reformer frames, three extension leg heights shared across five apparatus.
Build is consistent throughout. Solid beech, aircraft-grade aluminium track and hardware, orthopaedic cushioning under antibacterial vinyl. The Wunda Chair holds an A Design Award and the spring positioning system is patented.
